Now in View: Return on Investment

Since its formation in 2000, the Midtown Improvement District (MID) has invested more than $20 million in capital projects, transportation and streetscape enhancements.  Coupled with ongoing public safety, clean & green programs, Midtown Alliance programs and grant funding, these investments have:

  • leveraged more than $400 million in public and private funding to build out capital improvements in the public right of way of Midtown; and
  • created an environment that has attracted more than 50 new high-rise commercial, institutional and residential projects, representing more than $5B of new investment.

Recent Wins

In 2015, Midtown Alliance secured more than $2.8M in new grant funding to execute new projects and fund programs that will continue to add to the vibrancy of the District. 


On Deck in 2016: $10M in New Capital Improvements

Midtown Alliance has programmed more than $10 million for capital improvements in the public right-of-way in 2016. More info on these projects here.


Commercial Property Value

The District’s commercial property value has nearly tripled since 2000.


Residential Population

Midtown’s residential population is growing at 5 times the average in the City of Atlanta
